Let me walk you through a pedestrian

In the story Mr Leonard Mead was a lonely guy he had no kids and no wife. Mr Leonard Mead would always walk at night to get some air and to see. Mr Leonard Mead has no one to talk to Mr Leonard Mead would sometimes walk for hours or even miles and he would return at midnight to his house. One day when Mr Leonard Mead went for a walk as always he was stoped by a police car in the story the police men said "Stand still. Stay where you are! Don't move!'
He halted.
'Put up your hands!'
'But-' he said.
'Your hands up! Or we'll shoot!'. It was a rare incredible thing in the city of 3 million there was only 1 left police car.

CUE THEME MUSIC

I think that the central message of the book Is to focus and live in the present and not the past.
